1. About these termsWelcome to First Sign. These terms explain your rights when using the app and the rules that apply to its use. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider named above.
Please read these terms before using the app. If you do not agree, you may stop using and delete it. If you are not old enough to enter into an agreement independently where you live, review these terms with a parent or guardian and use the app with their permission.
2. What First Sign offersFirst Sign offers activities involving observation and reasoning: placing illustrated objects, finding hidden cats, converting Morse code and Caesar ciphers, working out four-digit codes, and examining clues in fictional cases.
These activities are for personal entertainment and informal thinking practice. They are not professional investigation services, psychological assessments, or medical services. We do not promise a particular improvement in intelligence, attention, memory, or other abilities.
Characters, conversations, photographs, transaction details, and other records in the cases are fictional story materials. They do not indicate that the app can access your real messages, accounts, or phone contents, or those of another person.
3. Free access without an accountYou can use First Sign without registering or signing in.
The current version provides all features free of charge. It has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, paid unlocks, virtual currency purchases, or other features that charge users. It does not make automatic charges.
Any device, internet, or third-party service charges are determined by the relevant provider, not by First Sign.
If a future version introduces paid offerings, we will explain them clearly in advance and obtain agreement through the purchase confirmation process required by the relevant platform. Using the current free version does not commit you to future charges.
4. Using the appYou may use First Sign on devices you own or control, as permitted by the applicable App Store usage rules.
Do not use the app or its content unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, impersonate the developer, or copy, sell, or distribute the app without authorization. These restrictions do not override activities expressly permitted by law or applicable open-source licenses.
Morse code and Caesar ciphers in Cipher Lab are intended for text conversion and exploration. They are not suitable for protecting passwords, payment details, or other confidential information.
5. Rights in the app and its contentThe software, interface, illustrations, writing, cases, and other app materials belong to us or their respective rights holders. Using the app does not transfer those rights to you.
You retain your rights in original text you enter into Cipher Lab. Entering text in the app does not give us ownership of it.
6. Progress and content on your deviceThe app stores settings and relevant progress on your device so you can continue where you left off. We do not provide developer accounts or a cloud progress recovery service operated by us.
Deleting the app, erasing device data, or changing devices may result in lost progress. Recovery through system backups depends on your device settings and available backups.
7. Privacy and supportThe First Sign Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

8. Updates and availabilityWe may fix problems, revise the interface, or update content. We will communicate significant changes affecting use through appropriate means.
We will take reasonable care in maintaining the app, but cannot guarantee compatibility with every device or system, or that the app will always be free from errors or interruptions. Please contact us if something is not working.
9. Responsibility and your legal rightsTo the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as available. We do not guarantee that every activity will meet your personal expectations or produce a particular practice outcome.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other protected matters. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
10. Ending use, changes, and disputesYou may stop using and delete the app at any time. There is no account to close.
When these terms change, we will update the effective date. For significant changes affecting your rights, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain consent where required by law.
If a dispute arises, you are welcome to contact us first. This does not limit your right to seek assistance from a competent court, regulator, or consumer protection body. Mandatory protections under applicable law continue to apply.
When you obtain First Sign through the App Store, Apple’s platform terms and applicable Standard End User License Agreement also apply. These terms supplement them with rules specific to First Sign and do not replace Apple’s Standard EULA.
